Our story may be your story too.

As educators, entrepreneurs, and parents of a wonderful biracial 4-year-old boy; we've been thinking about education a lot recently.

Our miracle baby was born 8 weeks early and has special learning needs. He has been receiving special education and speech and language services since he turned 2 through the state and school district. Wonderful educators have come to our home to support our son or we have taken him to school for speech and language support. Starting this Fall, our son will only continue to receive services through the school district if he goes to a public school.

My husband attended public school and I grew up going to Christian schools my entire life. We are FAMILY of educators and all of us have taught in a variety of settings (public, Christian, private, and daycares). I mean it's safe to say, we've seen a whole lot over the past 18 years.

We currently live in a great school district. Our son would have the best resources and support available to him and he would do “just fine”.

But are we okay with just fine? What about learning in a Christian environment? Are we okay with him not learning TRUE history about his culture? And the excessive homework and standardized testing that starts in early elementary school, are we okay with that? Will this approach adequately prepare our son for a successful, fulfilling life in the 21st century? These questions sparked us to ask…

What if we could create our DREAM school for our son and community?

… and Kingdom Seed Christian Academy was born.
